By now every UTSA football fan knows the name Kevorian Barnes. Barnes had a breakout season for UTSA after starting the year as the fourth running back on the depth chart. Kevorian finished the season with 857 yards and six rushing touchdowns and was selected as this year’s Conference USA Freshman of the Year. The future looks bright for Barnes as he hopes to continue to improve as UTSA transitions to the AAC next season.
Prior to UTSA, Barnes was a standout at San Augustine High School in East Texas. In his four years at the high school level, Kevorian rushed for over 4,000 yards. Barnes also ran Track and field, where he won a state championship on the 4×200 meter relay team. Barnes also participated on the baseball, basketball and power lifting teams.
